The Staithes Gallery has a selection of Susan's paintings of the Yorkshire coast. These paintings of Staithes and Whitby reflect Susan's fascination with their mixing of human and physical landscape edged by grey-blue sea.

The gallery also has pieces from Susan's stoneware 'Human Landscapes' series, a group of human heads in dreamlike states of repose sometimes unadorned but often incised with undulating contour lines.
